A Little About Discovery Rent To Own

We are a locally owned business which my partner Richard Beal and myself began in 1991. We have two locations - one in Grand Rapids with the other in Greenville. Since our inception it has been our goal to give our customers the best possible product for the lowest possible price. We work diligently with our customers to assist them in acquiring ownership of their rented product at the lowest possible cost to them. We do this by offering them several payment alternatives to acquire ownership. In those cases where a customer in good standing decides to return an item, we merely look at this as one of the benefits of our program and look forward to hopefully doing business with them again in the future.

Virtually all of our competition is publicly owned. We are family owned and our employees tell us they feel like part of the family. Over half of our employees have been with us for over five years, almost unheard of in our industry. This has allowed our staff to get to know our customers, many of which have been with us for ten years or more, on a personal basis making the rental experience more enjoyable for everyone. These types of relationships, and not being constrained by inflexible corporate structure, allows us to obtain many unique items for our established customers through our flexible special order program.

My favorite acquisition for a current customer one fall was a new furnace for his house. By giving our customers the highest quality merchandise their budget can afford at the best possible price our ultimate goal is to never give our customers a reason to obtain their household furnishing needs any where else.
